The College of the Redwoods Physical Education Replacement Project in Eureka, California, modernizes athletic facilities for students and the community. The project includes a new 80,000+ sq. ft. PE Gymnasium and Fieldhouse, featuring a state-of-the-art spectator gymnasium and a fieldhouse with an interior practice field.
The original gym, built in 1971, and adjacent facilities are located on a known fault zone, prompting the need for a new, seismically safe location. The new facility is being constructed in a different part of campus, providing a modern, safe, and dynamic environment for athletics, fitness, and education.
The project is delivered in partnership with the Redwood Community College District.
